Ode to the Professional Damsel in Distress
One person in the stories may always
Be remembered for not saving the day
She was not so strong and she was not fast
But her part in the story will e'er last
She was an independent person, oh
No one could match her in wits or charm so
The Man of Steel couldn't help falling in love
With the girl he watched over from above
She was a reporter in newspaper
Jimmy Olsen was her photographer
He partner was Clark Kent, a small town guy
Who could secretly lift buses and fly
She worked for the biggest newsstand in town
Not even a murder could bring her down
She was constantly captured by villains
Who wanted their revenge on Superman
Eventually her dest'ny would be
To marry the man much stringer than she
But for right now, the story's not so plain
The story of our woman, Lois Lane
DW: Okay, I had to write a heroic poem in couplets iambic petameter for English class, and this is what I wrote sadly. I decided Lois was the unsung hero of the story. lol
