Never Let Go
"Jack, wake up! Jack!"
I shook him.
"Wake up, Jack, we are saved!"
A boat was passing by!
People had come to save us!
"Please, Jack! Wake up! We are saved!"
It was hopeless.
I knew he was still awake, but barely alive.
"Wake up, Jack!"
I shook him even harder.
My heart beat faster.
No, it can't be…
My heart sank.
It was hopeless.
My worst fears were confirmed.
Jack was dead.
My eyes began to tear, my skin became warmer.
I could not believe that Jack was dead!
Blood began to rush into my brain.
I was ready to do anything for Jack.
I am coming with you Jack!
Wait for me,
And we will be together.
I lied down once again, ignoring the calls of life.
I'm going to join you, Jack, you must wait for me.
My body started to freeze again.
My eyes gradually closed unknowingly.
"Rose, remember! Never let go!"
Never ever let go...
Jack's voice rang through my mind.
My eyes flew open.
I promised Jack to never let go...
But, I can't!
I want to be with Jack forever.
Never let go!
Those words still remained echoing in my head.
I forced myself not to fall asleep,
Whereas my heart was full of reluctance and anxiousness.
Jack was my everything.
I had promised him...
I was going to live for Jack.
My mind was set.
"Wait for me!"
"Wait for me!"
My voice finally came out.
I tried to shout to those people repeatingly.
They were drifting farther and farther away from me!
My heart pounded.
I struggled against the cold water desperately.
It was exactly like a thousand knives piercing into my skin,
Like what Jack had told me.
I was afraid to die...
My breath became heavier.
"Wait for me!"
Suddenly, a ray of light blinded me.
The next thing I knew, I was saved!
A sense of joy and excitement ran through me.
I felt as if Jack was in my presence.
I had promised your last, my beloved Jack.
Now that I knew life was precious,
I will never let go.
Author's Note: This story is the last part of the movie, Titanic,where Rose and Jack are in the freezing water and Rose struggled to live for him. I think it is an amazing love story and I adore Leonardo Di Caprio. This is a one-shot.
About my writing, I think it is not perfect, I've got some errors, but I've got a sudden inspiration to write this. Please review.
