When he heard him, he looked around.
His opponent was waiting, patiently, for his enemy to turn around.
He was equiped with a beam.
His opposition was equiped with a cutter
Paranoid, he started looking in all directions.
Calm and collected, the predator watched in enjoyment
He was towards fainting, as fear gripped his heart.
The enemy leaped.
There was the sound of a beam, and then a wooshing sound
Astounded, he was cut in half at a 30 degree angle.
All he had left was his vision and his right arm.
Sliding, the top half made a squishing sound as soon as it hit the ground.
In his dying breath, his last words were "ow!"
The victor continued on his journey
The identity of the corpse was never known, as the one that overheard all of this never saw the action, as he was too scared to view his comrade's death. The corpse was also eaten by another entity.
Also, the person who overheard all of this died on another mission months later.
