Hermione looked at the notice she was pinning up on the notice board in the Gryffindor common room.

All 7th Years interested in Muggles and their schooling system please show your interest by putting your name down in the spaces below. A school trip including staying for 1 month in muggle conditions and going to a muggle school is open to the first 100 students to get permission from their parents/caregivers and have indicated their interest.

As Hermione finished pinning up all the notices she saw the time and realised she was late for a meeting with Dumbledore and the head boy Draco Malfoy.

After the meeting Draco and Hermione walked back to their common room, talking about what had happened during the meeting. They had been told that as they were head boy and girl they were expected to go on the school trip to keep the behaviour of there fellow students in order. Hermione was excited. The last time she had been to a muggle school was before Hogwarts. And the best part was that it was the school right down the road from her parents so she got to stay there. Then she remembered what else Dumbledore had said.

Flashback

"Now Miss Granger, because your parents live just down the road from the school you will be attending you have permission to stay there if you would like. You will be allowed to use limited magic also. Would you like to do that?" Dumbledore asked. "Sure that would be great!" Hermione replied. Dumbledore started to talk again. "One other thing. We would like the Head students to stay together. Would that be okay with you and your parents?" "Ummmm I guess that it's okay with me but you could owl my parents to ask them." Hermione replied, unaware of what she had got herself into. (End of flashback)

Hermione and Draco were in their common room. They said good night and Hermione lay awake thinking about spending a month with Draco Malfoy.

Next Day

Draco stood in the bathroom thinking about the owl he had received from Dumbledore earlier. Mr Malfoy, Miss Granger's parents have okayed you staying at their house while on the school trip. They have said that you may stay in the spare bedroom, and they also request that you be back in the house by 12am on weeknight and 3 am on the weekends. I hope that these terms will suit you.

Albus Dumbledore

"I'm staying at Granger's." he said out loud.
