Winter Solstice.

AN: I'm back, but not for long. The summer vacation is coming and I'm writing this at school. AHHHH! I'll be back, though! Don't forget about me! Please! Anyway, this fic takes place a month after "Bullets..." and let's see what I can do.

Chapter 1: The Lovers

"I do."

Jonathan said those words at ten thirty in the morning on July 2nd in Central park in New York.

He lifted the veil up of his bride, Joanna Dark and kissed her passionately, signifying their marriage.

Everyone applauded and the new couple looked out onto the crowd. Daniel Carrington, Velvet, Joanna's sister, Foster, Grimshaw, Robin Taylor, Linda Parker, Cassandra De Vries, Nathan Winchester and his fiancée, Lindsay Williamson, even President Clay Montgomery as well as many others including Elvis and Crinn, the Skedar high chancellor.

The reception went extremely well. Elvis sang the song "Blue Skies" for the happy couple, Foster did a small comedy gig and Grimshaw passed out from too much champagne.

All the time, Joanna smiled. This was her day. The day she'd been waiting for so long. She hauled Jonathan away from Crinn as they were discussing Skedar mating rituals, to Jonathan's great amusement.

When they were in a secluded area, Joanna kissed Jonathan deeply.

"What was that for?" He asked.

"This is the first time we've spent alone as a married couple." Joanna said. "I don't intend it to be the last."

"Neither do I." Jonathan grinned.

"Jonathan," Joanna said. "I got the results back from my physical."

"And?" Jonathan said.

"I found out the reason for all these absurd cravings I've had." Joanna said. "You're not going to believe this but..." she paused, beaming. "I'm pregnant."

Jonathan's eyes bugged out of his skull. "Really?" He asked? "You really are?"

"Yes." Joanna smiled. "It'll be a matter of months, but we are going to have a child."

Jonathan all out smiled as he kissed his new wife again.

End of chapter.

Yes, very short, I know. But the chapters will be longer when I'm in school again. Trust me.
