Chapter One-Dun Dun Dun

Hermione was sitting down. She couldn't believe it. How could this have happened? There in front of her sat a penguin. She'd learned the spell perfectly, McGonagall had even told her so. How could she have messed this up? There was no way to reverse it: she was doomed. Ron and Harry came down the stairs, slowing as they saw the sight before them.

"Hey Hermione, why is there a penguin here?" said Ron.

"I screwed up that spell we learned earlier and I can't fix it," she replied.

"Well…who is it?" Harry asked cautiously, pointing at the confused penguin at her feet. Hermione's eyes began to swim.

"That's the problem, Harry. I don't know who it is!"
