Marathon: The Assault

Chapter I: The Dream of dreams

'I see your future. Many battles have you faced, and survived. But nothing has prepared you for this. You and your allies will perish to this Dominant Foe. And all hope of humanity will be lost. You have no choice but to fight. It's in your blood and won't go away. The Enemy knows your fear and it will stalk you every corner, every minute of every day. The Enemy doe's not spare anything. Don't plead for mercy and don't join their side. Unexpected things happen. You'll know soon. Because you'll become one of them...'

The soldier's eyes opened out fast. Sweat was beating down of him. "That nightmare. It's back. But it never finish's. Never. I wonder why." The marine said. He closed his eyes and went back to sleep. But his dream he had was not just a nightmare. It what was going to happen to him.

"Begin procedure." An alien voice said, "Tell how far away we are from the Human Fleet." Its red eyes blinking every at the computer. The Computer came back on forming a map of the space. "Maybe 16 clicks away if the Fleet does not move away." The Machine responded. The Alien walked away into the blinding darkness, were no one can see in.

"You had the nightmare again? Man, why doe's keep coming?" A Marine asked. "I'm not sure Todd. If never continues after 'I'll become one of them'." The soldier said. "Mike, if this keeps happening you should see Dr. RiChesky." Another buddy said. "Already tried. He say's it just so much stress during the space patrols, causing it to occur." Mike responded. "That or you're having a hard time with Sara." Todd said with unhappy tone, "Hey, before you go ballistic on me, you told me." Mike was looking Todd wondering. "You think that's it?" Mike asked. "Don't know, what about you Zac?" Todd looking around. "I have no clue." Zac said.

"My master our ships our near the Fleet." A Servant said. "Good launch the attack." The Leader ordered.
