Not Love…Not Yet:

The Xiaolin Temple:

Raimundo awoke with a start sweat pouring down his chest like Niagara Falls. He ruffled his dark brown hair and put a gray hooded sweatshirt on top of his scarlet unisex sleep shirt and his gray sleep pants.

He stepped out onto the porch and instantly took a fighting stance as he saw a sitting Jack Spicer sitting there. Their nemesis sat, his yellowish eyes watching the darkness.

"What are doing here, Jack?"

"Don't worry, I'm not here for some Shen Gong Wu. Got any coffee…or a beer?"

Raimundo ran to the kitchen and returned with a pot of freshly brewed coffee and a can of soda for himself, to find Jack sitting comfortably in a chair. They sat and drank.

"Nice night."

"Yeah."

"Are we like enemies now, or friends or what?"

Raimundo opened his mouth, but it flapped back in despair as the answer evaded him. Ever since he had defeated Wuya, they had been on unsure ground. Jack lapped open his pocket and removed cigarettes, in a white box with crimson print and border. Raimundo accepted one – he was a rare smoker, but enjoyed the occasional one (oh, and he was legally above age – and together, they smoked the cigarettes, which were good.

Jack slid a couple of feet closer to Raimundo, but the Dragon of Wind didn't notice, so he relaxed and lit another.

"So, what's up in Camp. Xiaolin?"

"Well, Clay and Kimiko are on their honeymoon in…"

"Hold on! Clay and Kimiko got married! When did this happen?"

"A few weeks ago. Anyway, they're going around the world, using the Clasp of Teleport to go anywhere."

Silence as the news sunk in.

"Oh well, I never liked her that much anyway."

"You are kidding!"

"Nope. I like guys actually."

"You mean you're…"

"Yeah. I'm gay."

"Shit, man."

Jack sensed the tension and decided to get it all over with and placed a tentative hand on Raimundo's. He didn't pull away.

"I thought you…"

"Jack, you're handsome and I never thought you'd get me."

The two males shifted closer to each other and their lips met gently. It wasn't perfect, it wasn't loving or passionate. But it was the two of them and that was all that mattered…for now.

They breathed heavily and their hands linked as they gazed at the sky.

"Nice night."

"Yeah." Raimundo whispered as they kissed again.
