Alice Returns to Wonderland
Chapter 1
Alice was in the park again. It was a hot summer's day and she was feeling drowsy. All at once she saw the white rabbit fly by, who when he saw her, immediately stopped. He squinted suspiciously at her through his glasses. "Mary-Anne!" he called. "Mary-Anne? It that you?" Alice just stood quietly, shocked that she should see this strange rabbit again. "Now, Mary-Anne," he began, thinking that Alice was Mary-Anne. "I need my white gloves washed, my…Oh, goodness! I…It…It's yyou. The m…m…monster, it's the m…monster! The monster has s…ss…shrunk!" Then the rabbit flew by and down a different rabbit hole. Alice followed again, even though she was almost killed last time. There was something that was pulling her towards the hole. This time Alice did not find herself falling into an almost endless pit but a bumpy chute.
It was like a slide. She bumped her way down the rabbit hole in the dark. She felt she would rather be in an almost bottomless pit, because there were interesting things there to look at and she had felt as if she were a parachute. This also was rather uncomfortable on Alice's backside. She thought this rabbit hole would never end, just like she had thought the one before would never end. She began to sob loudly but soon began to hear a strange noise. "A veeeeeeerrrrrrry happy un-birthday to you," "to me?" "Yes, you." "A veeeerrrrrrry happy un-birthday to you," "to me?" "yes you. Now blow the candles out my friend and make your wish come true. A veeeeeeeeeeerrrrrrrrrrrrrry happy un-birthday to youuuu."
