AN: This is more of a one shot expansion to the Speed Freaks series that Starts with Overdrive and continues off of one of the small mentions in the last chapter. Enjoy. Oh and for what Janus looks like I went back to another source for it, Alec from Goldeneye, aka the mob boss Janus, I just thought that it was fitting, I can't remember who played him in it though. For continuity place it during the last chapter of Speed Freak. Also, while this is going here, the reason is because my original Yahoo account is gone as it was from a Yahoo based ISP, so I can no longer use it, but I did happen to have a backup copy of this fic to use, so here it is.
xXx
Janus kept his indignation to himself as he didn't want to get doped up again; the former god was suffering in silence. How dare they put him in such a place, a mortal mental institution, and he was a god, or well he used to be one at that rate, whatever happened he wasn't sure but that blasted hedgehog was behind it. All of his dreams and goals were for naught, his plans and plots for revenge had ended in a fate worse than failure, he had become that which he despised the most.
His anger seethed within him, he would find a way to gain his revenge upon these incompetent fools. He had a fate worth than death in store for them when he regained his power.
But that was not the worst of it, they wouldn't even let him play the games he was used to, of course they had taken the chess pieces after he crippled two doctors, three nurses and half the security guards in an escape attempt. They still hadn't managed to get the black king out of that guard's ribcage yet and were trying to figure out how it got in there in the first place.
Sitting calmly in the chair, watching the world around him with a sneer, he heard someone mumbling about a blue creature that couldn't exist. Perhaps another victim of that rodent.
Snyder was muttering to himself about the monster that had left him dangling from the flagpole by his underwear.
"Blue monster...can't exist...but it does..."
"Is it the creature known as Sonic?" a taller man who had a faint mix of a Russian and an English accent in his voice.
"Yeah, I think so, why?"
"Because, if so we have a common enemy, and I want that hedgehog gone!"
"He...he's real?"
"Quite and you're the former principal?"
"Yes...why?"
"Because you know his other form."
"Other form?"
"The rodent is a human that can assume another form; his actions stripped us both of our powers and left us here, so as you surely know, the enemy of my enemy is my friend."
Both men smiled slightly, the god and the principal had come to an understanding.
Lilah Morgan groaned as she realized her mission, and she stepped into the asylum to retrieve two patents that the senior partners at Wolfram and Hart had identified as allies in what was to come.
Less than an hour later, Janus and Snyder were free of the place and on their way to LA.
