He'd heard the name so many times now but still he knelt, tilted every so slightly forwards, his eyes a familiar blank sheet and mouth moving with almost involuntary mumbles.
'Tsukasa'? What was 'Tsukasa' and why was it all he could hear? In his peripheral vision there were whiskers and though he couldn't connect those images with his thoughts right now, there was a little of him left to know that the colours, should he choose to look, would be purple. And wonderful red eyes.
Slowly he looked down as much as he could and as a thin finger reached out to claw back a shining button eye from the stuffed bear in his hands.
His mind made the connection.
"Tsu-"
"-Kasa," he finished, blinking but still fighting to get the rest of his body under his control.
Red eyes reflected the smile plain on the cat character's face and the purple ears twitched once. She began talking tentatively, careful not to overload the boy in front of her in any way and reached forwards.
He was surprised to find she was warm.
