Regarding the gender of the God of Fruits Basket, I wonder what Akito thinks about it?

Akito's Wish:
Akito was a man.
At least,
He thought
He was.
He was raised
As a
Boy.
Treated like a
Boy.
So that
Made Him a
Man,
Right?
But
Akito
Wasn't sure.
He really wanted
To know
Who
He was,
So,
He decided
To ask someone.
But
He couldn't ask
Yuki
Because Yuki
Was scared
Of Akito.
Or Haru,
Because Haru
Was lost
Again.
Or Kisa,
Because
Akito
Made her
Cry.
Or Momiji,
Because
He was annoying.
Akito
Would have
Asked
Hatori,
But
Hatori
Was sleeping.
He didn't
Know
That Hatori slept,
But
He supposed
That even
Doctors
Had to sleep
Sometime.
So
Akito
Kept thinking.
Not Ayame,
Because
Akito
Was sure
That
Not even Ayame
Knew
What he was.
Not Rin,
Because
She would
Laugh
And point
And then
Akito
Would feel
Stupid
For not knowing.
But
He really
Didn't know.
So, he just kept
Thinking.
Not Hiro,
Because
He was mad
At Akito,
Even though
He wouldn't
Admit it.
He would have
Asked
Kureno.
But
Kureno had left
To see
His girlfriend,
And
This made
Akito
Feel lonely.
So
Akito
Ate Peeps
And chocolate
And gum
And blew bubbles
And just kept on
Thinking.
Not Ritsu
Because
Ritsu
Never
Stopped apologizing
Even for things
He didn't
Do.
Not Kagura
Because
Kagura was
Crazy
And loud
And sometimes
She scared Him,
Just
a little bit.
Not even Kyo,
Because Kyo
Was Kyo.
And it was
As simple
As that.
And even though
He was sure
That Tohru
Would know,
He couldn't
Bring Himself
To ask her.
Because
She knew
Who she
Was,
And He
Didn't know
Who He
Was,
And
That made Him
Embarrassed.
And it made Him
More
Than a little
Angry
That all
These people
Got to know
Just
What
And who
They were,
And He didn't.
It just
Wasn't
Fair.
So Akito
Stomped
Around His room,
Yelled
At nobody,
Got Himself
Noplace,
And then
He wished that
He had
More
Chocolate
Because
Suddenly
Having no chocolate
Made Him
Even more
Angry
Than He was
Before.
So
He called
Shigure
Who told Him,
That it didn't
Really matter,
Because He was
Loved
No matter
Who
Or what
He was.
But Akito
Still
Wanted to know.
Because
Not knowing
Made Him
Angry.
And
Being angry
Made Him
Hungry.
Hungry
For chocolate.
So
Akito snuck out
Of His room
And
Down the hall.
And
Managed
To get back
To His room
With the
Chocolate
And without
Tripping
Any
Of the alarms
Or boobytraps
That Hatori
Had
Set up
The last time
Akito
Had had
A craving
For chocolate.
And
As Akito
Was eating
The chocolate,
An idea
Came down
From
Heaven
And
Bopped Him
Up-side the head.
A tiny lightbulb
Went on
Above Akito's head.
And He thought,
' Wicked!'
' I know just
what to do.'
' I'll ask my fans,
surely,
they'll know.'
So
Akito surfed the net,
Searching
For the anwser
To the question
Even He
Didn't know.
But
The fanfictions
Only served
To confuse Akito more.
Some said,
' He's a man!'
And others,
' She's a woman!'
Now
Akito
Was really really
Really
Confused,
And,
He thought,
' Why, I
haven't seen anything
this confusing
since Dogma!'
so
Akito wished
Very dearly,
And
Very hopefuly too,
That
The mangas
Would come out
Faster, so
His American fans
Would make up
Their minds.
And so
That Akito
Would know
Without doubt,
Without fail,
That He was
A man
Or a Woman,
And
Just how
He should tell.
