Trish Stratagias woke up to a splitting headache. Staring up at the ceiling, the events of the previous night flooded back. Chris Irvine breaking up with her, going to the bar, getting drunk and then...and then...What had happened? Why couldn't she remember?
Rolling over, she found herself staring at the back of somebody's head. Who was it? Why were they in bed with her? A quick glance under the floral blanket affirmed her suspicions. It also filled in the events she couldn't remember.
Apparently, after getting drunk, she had gone back to the hotel room of this mystery person.
How could I have been so stupid? I never get drunk like that! I normally know how to hold my alcohol. Did we use a condom? Who is this idiot? she thought. She jumped, the person beside her rolling over. Then, she noticed who it was.
Randy Orton, she had slept with Randy Orton.
"Good morning," he murmured sleepily. Then, he jumped up, realizing he was staring at Trish Stratagias. "What are you doing in my bed? Why am I naked? What happened?" Trish rolled her eyes. He was definately a character.
"Did anything traumatic happen to you that would have made you get drunk off your ass?" she asked. Closing his eyes, he thought about it. Then, he nodded.
"I kind of caught Stacy in bed with Rob Conway," he said. Trish shook her head, trying not to grin. Randy noticed and had to ask. "What?"
"Nothing," she said, biting her lower lip. She was struggling not to chuckle. Rolling his eyes, Randy gently tickled her sides. Finally, unable to stand it anymore, she blurted out "Any of the sane divas made a betting pool on who she would cheat on you with and when. Nobody had Conway, though," Randy looked at her, unsure how to respond. Then, he began to laugh.
"I knew it was only a matter of time, until she cheated on me. I kept her eye for a few months," he said. "Hungry?" She nodded slowly. "Care to split an omelet in bed?"
It was a tempting offer. She had never had a one-night stand before. Did you normally do this? Why was she so content with the young man she had found in the bar? Prior to last night, they had been colleagues, not particularly close friends. What had changed?
"Um,sure," she said, wrapping herself in the blanket. It seemed like the air conditioner was on full blast. "Can you get two Mimosas as well?" Surprised she still wanted to drink, he nodded.
"You do realize you're going to have get up so the maid can clean, don't you?" he teased, watching her snuggle deeper into the bed. She flipped him the middle finger. "Touchy now, ain't we?"
"Join me," she murmured, patting the side beside her. Sighing, Randy sat beside her. "Why does this pillow smell so sexy?"
"Those are my personal feather down pillows. I don't like lumpy pillows. My pillows must be soft!" he exclaimed. She giggled. He made her feel different, like she was floating on air. "Anyone ever tell you how cute you are in the morning?"
"Nope, you're the first. Anyone ever tell you how sexy you smell?" she asked, grinning. He shook his head. She made him feel like he was the only one in her world.
There was a knock at the door. Putting a pair of jeans on, he prepared to answer the door.
Trish sighed. She was happy. Words could not describe how she felt. All she knew was one thing.
By the dark of night, things seemed bleak. By the light of morning, her world finally seemed content.
