Summary: Alternate version of Padme finding out about Anakin's turn to the dark side.
Author's Note: I know it is short but I hope that you all like it. This was also written before I saw Episode III.
When she found out, she could hardly believe it.
She refused to believe it.
Padme was pregnant with Anakin's children. She had recently discovered that they would be twins not just one. She was overwhelmed with such happiness.
That was until Obi-Wan came to see her and he confessed about he how knew about her and Anakin's secret marriage.
He also warned her about how he was sure that Anakin would be heading to the dark side.
"He can't…"she struggled to say.
"He is and with the guidance of Senator Palpatine."
"Palpatine?" Padme asked in shock. "This cannot be happening. I don't believe you."
"He's lied to all of us. He is dark sith lord and master."
"But Anakin…he's good…he can't…he's…"
"The chosen one," Obi-Wan finished, "The one who would bring balance to the force. Good or bad. That is a choice but apparently he choose the wrong side. I'm sorry Padme."
Padme kept silent as he bow and left.
Was it true... she asked herself. Would Anakin really do that?
She knew that with all of his power he could be a danger to their family. She had to protect them.
And that's why, she decided to leave and not come back for the sake of their children…
