One Piece is not my property and this is the only time I will say it, Teri is my character I allow people to use without asking as long as they give me credit for her.

A storm brewed over the Going Merry. Water that was once calm became choppy. Waves crashed into the ship washing over the deck and rocking the ship violently. I watched in shock as my nakama were almost washed overboard. I wanted to help but my injured leg prevented me from even standing on my own. I was therefore forced to sit by and watch my nakama battle nature's watery wrath in vain.

"Nami-san let me help!" I yelled at the teen just two years older than I. She shook her head. "Why won't you let me at least try?"

"Your leg's too badly injured." She answered poking the wound on my knee sending pain throughout my leg. I cringed and grabbing the icepack from beside me I clutched it to the injury.

"Don't poke it!" I yelled at her annoyed beyond reason. I saw two figures, one of them I recognized for sure and the other I wasn't so sure about, be washed overboard. I saw someone else dive over to get them proving who they were. "Who's that?" I yelled, Nami looked at who was still on the ship.

"Luffy and Chopper got washed over, Sanji went in to get them." That's what I had thought, my fears along with pretty much everyone else's were confirmed. Sanji only her one figure, I heard someone yelling about the other, Chopper… I didn't have to look to know what Sanji did next, he shook his head and said:

"I couldn't find him in the water, I couldn't." I knew without needing to be told, my gut felt tied up and my head spun. 'Chopper-kun…gone?' I thought, 'How could it be? No-no-no, I won't believe it!' I cried, the first time in what seemed like an eternity, I felt Nami's arms wrap around me and my arms wrapped back around her as we sat comforting one another. Trying to ease each other's pain, I heard Zoro saying the storm was clearing, just as Nami had said it would. I couldn't believe I hadn't seen Chopper's death! I didn't notice Nami leaving the room to do something but I felt something new, it was someone's hand. I looked up to see Luffy holding back his own tears.

"He's gone…Right?"
