Love is just heartache waiting to happen.

So I don't love.

When someone gets too close.

I push them away.

So they don't come back.

And break my heart.

It is so lonely sometimes.

But I remind myself.

They wouldn't want.

To be close to me anyway.

They would choose life.

Over death.

Such is the life of one who cares.

For those who can't care less.

I tell myself.
