This is the very first fanfiction I ever wrote. It was writtenon Halloween, 2004.It's short because it was part of a fanfiction challenge. The Mighty Ducks don't belong to me. They belong to Disney who pulled the plug after only one season.(jerks)

"Come on, Tanya, it'll be fun!" said Nosedive grabbing Tanya by the arm. "You spend way too much time in that lab of yours. Live it up once and a while!"

"Oh all right all ready! If it will get you to leave me alone, I'll go to the arcade with you!"

Nosedive had been after Tanya all morning. He felt Tanya had been working too hard lately. A day off would do her some good. Tanya didn't really want to go out. She prefered to remain in the lab developing new weapons. Plus she had plans to improve the duckcycles so they had built-in pucklaunchers. But once Nosedive got his mind made up about something the only way to get rid of him was to humor him. The arcade was very dark with the screens flashing off their players' faces. It was noisy too. You had to shout at the top of your lungs, almost directly into the other person's ear in order to be heard. Nosedive noticed that there was a new game called Dance Dance Revolution.

"Hey, that looks cool! Come on, let's try it!"

Tanya backed up. "No way! I'm not going to make a fool of myself!"

But Nosedive pulled her onto the platform. "Here's how it works," he explained. "I pick a song and arrows will appear on the screen. You put your feet on the matching arrows on the platform. The game's called Dance Dance for a reason. The arrows move fast." He putquarters into the slots. "Here we go!"

Nosedive was a pretty good dancer. He was able to get the word "perfect" to appear a lot. Tanya was too shy and nervous and just gingerly stepped on the arrows. Nosedive noticed this and said to her, "If you just relax and focus on the game you'll have more fun."

Tanya tried to do as Nosedive said. She took a deep breath. She focused her attention on the music and the arrows flashing on the screen. She started to dance, nailing most of the moves and soon the word "good" was flashing.

When the song was over both ducks were out of breath. They left the arcade and sat outside, leaning against a tree. "Hey, Tanya you're a pretty good dancer." said Nosedive.

"Thanks, you're pretty good too. You were right Nosedive that was fun. We better get back. Phil signed me up for an ad for Electric Land." The two ducks got to their feet and headed for home. "Maybe we can do this again sometime." said Nosedive. Tanya smiled. "Yeah, I'd like that."

The End.
