A/N: Another one-shot. Well, this one was actually a dare from Zeldalotr. I was talking to her the other day, and she wanted me to write a romance fic. I had a whole big Lily and James story planned out, but I wrote this before I even finished the first chapter of the other one, completing my dare. I hope you like it, and please review! Thanks.

Katie is an OC, but I think it's obvious where she stands in here.
"We can't do this," Remus said sadly.
Katie was confused as she gazed into Remus' eyes. "I thought you liked me."
"I do, but I just can't do this. It isn't fair to you."
"Isn't fair to me? How? It isn't like I think you're a monster or anything."
He looked down and mumbled, "Not now you don't."
"Hey! Cheer up! If you're such a monster, do you turn into a fully fledged wolf once a month?"
He winced and started to back away but looked up at the sound of a small squeak.
"You do?"
Those two words hurt him more than anything ever said to him before. He could only mutter a "please don't tell anyone" before he started walking away.
"Remus!"
He stopped and slowly turned around, coming face-to-face with Katie. She took his hand in hers and said, "I don't care what you are. You are the sweetest, most caring person I have ever met, and if I had let you run away just now, I would have regretted it for the rest of my life. I like you for you, not some furry, little fuzzball that comes out to play every few weeks."
He looked truly shocked that he wasn't being rejected. "Really?" he managed. "I am dangerous, you know. And I don't think you deserve to worry about – oomph!" He didn't get to finish because at that moment Katie had put a hand over his mouth, making him incapable of speech.
"Really. And if I thought you were that bad, would I do this?" Katie then stood on her tiptoes and brushed her lips against his, a smile on her face.
