Love is a Bumpy Road
This is my first fanfiction and the idea came through the sheer desperation of trying to write a fanfiction xD. If you understand it then wow, because even I have no idea what I wrote. Please review with suggestions, comments maybe even compliments (I highly doubt that one) anything will be helpful.
Disclaimer: I don't own. The end.
"Athrun?"
"Yes?"
"Are we there yet?"
"No."
Cagalli pouted.
"Are we there now?"
"No." He didn't bother to take his eyes off the road.
"How about now? Or now? Or now?"
"No, no and no."
Athrun saw her eyebrows twitch uncontrollably beforeā¦
"ATHRUN ZALA, STOP PLAYING GAMES WITH M-"
She would have continued if not for a more urgent thought that popped into her head.
"Wait, where is there anyways?"
"Where I'm taking you."
"And where's that?"
Athrun didn't miss a beat.
"There." He said it like it was the most obvious thing in the entire galaxy.
Unfortunately that was the last straw for her.
"I DID NOT SACRIFICE MY PRECIOUS TIME FOR THIS BUL-"
Once again she was interrupted, but this time it wasn't her thought train that rescued Athrun from her wrath. It was a rather large bump in the road that he had just conveniently driven into.
"Are you alright?" His voice betrayed his guilt and anxiety.
"Yes," Cagalli grunted rubbing her rump where she had just been ungracefully jerked up and then dumped on. She looked at him accusingly and shot one of her famous glares at him.
"Why is the road so bumpy?"
He smiled a slightly creepy and ominous smile, one that made Cagalli's hand inch closer to the car door. That Gilbert really rubbed off on him.
Athrun answered her question with a question of his own.
"Cagalli, where do you think we're heading?"
"There." She mimicked his early tone, obviously still annoyed.
He chuckled.
"I don't mean now, this road. I mean our road, the one we've been going down."
Now Cagalli was really worried for her boyfriend's sanity.
He continued, "Do you think we'll make it to the end, where all lovers dream of, the perfect ending. Do you really think we'll make it?"
She suddenly realized what he was trying to say.
"If you and I believe in us, we'll make it." She flashed one of her rare smiles, the ones that lit up her face and revealed the young girl hiding behind that stern mask of politics and responsibilities. The smile that always dried up his doubts and worries and made him remember the reason he returned.
"Thanks." He meant it. He needed to know that even no matter what was thrown their way, let it be politics, discrimination or arranged marriages, they would get through it together, reach the end of the road together.
"Now are we there?" Her voice tinged with mock anger.
"Almost my princess, almost."
Go on, you can tell me that was the weirdest thing you've ever read...
