Chapter 1
"Adweannor and Gweliwien"
War wasn't always a curse upon our lands. Peace, or at least the mere thought of it, lasted for about a decade, while the peoples of Kalimdor and the Eastern Kingdoms rebuilt their homes and towns after the last great war.
Paladins, the Upholders of the Holy Light, are the face of peace and justice among the people of the Alliance. They fought on the front lines, holding back dangerous Horde near the Trisfal Glades and the Blasted Lands. However, over the past decade, the Horde have slowly been disappearing into their occupied areas, and have even diminished their appearances in their favored areas of interest. In recent times, the Paladins have steadily pulled back, away from the Horde, as it seems their threat is some what diminished. Now the Paladins have only the local towns and dungeons to explore and cleanse of anything foul.
Among these Paladin's who seemed only to fight is a man named Adweannor. At an early age, this gentleman traveled to Stormwind, where he fell in love with the idea of becoming a Paladin, after watching a Horde raid be quelled in the very gates of the city. He spent years and years training until one day he finally stood up to the challenge of becoming a Paladin.
The rest of his story could be told quickly, as there really isn't much to tell. Adweannor trained even harder when he was declared a Paladin, and put his training to the test during the wars ten years ago. Since the end of those wars, Adweannor has taken on a pupil, a young woman named Gweliwien.
Gweliwien was still young, and her story starts when she was picked up by Adweannor while rummaging through an abandoned wagon in Westfall. Unfortunately for Adweannor, this young girl decided to tag along with him for a few years before finally deciding to become a Paladin herself. Gweliwien is brash and sometimes a bit foolish. She tends to overstep her limits and tends to attract unwanted attention, which was the first thing I noticed about her, when I first met the pair.
When they started their journey that would one day lead them across my path, they were already hard-pressed on a journey to the kingdom of Stormwind with important information that would prove vital to the coming conflict.
