Chapter 1: Tasslehoff Burrfoot the Kender, Flint the Dwarf, and Tanis the Half-Elf

(a/n... again: Before series is when this takes place.)

Tasslehoff Burrfoot skipped around a forest. Humming a merry song, he ran into someone. "Oof! Oh, sorry." Tasslehoff said. A grizzled old dwarf turned around and scowled at him. "Watch were you are going, kender!" he growled. Tasslehoff just looked at him inocently. This made the dwarf even angryier. "All you kenders are just a neusiance!"

"Well, that's nice!" Tasslehoff said, abviously amused by this dwarf. "My name is Tasslehoff Burrfoot. You can call me Tas." He nodded his head. In the distance... or a few feet away, someone called out the name Flint. "You must be Flint." Tas added. The dwarf just scowled at him. Not bothered with no reply, he just went on, "Well, Flint, I'll just tag along with you. I'm usually by myself."

The dwarf spoke up. "I will not be followed by an annoying kender!" he declared. Just then, a half-elf appeared from the trees. The dwarf spun around.

"Is this a new friend of yours, Flint?" asked the half-elf. Before Flint could say no, Tas introduced himself and said how they were great friends, even though they just met. "Well, Tas, I'm Tanis," the half-elf said. "Flint, will Tas be tagging along with us?"

"NO!" Flint roared. "I will not be pestered by a kender!"

At the same time, Tasselhoff shouted, "Yes! I am! Flint already offered!" Tanis ignored Tas, and lectured Flint how he shouldn't be so mean to his friends. Flint argued, saying that Tas wasn't his friend, that he had just popped up and started talking to him. Tanis, however didn't beleive him.

In the end, Tasselhoff ended up tagging along with them.

"Soooo, where are we going?" Tass asked for what seemed like the 100th time. Again, Tanis said that they were going to Solace. "Oooooooh. Where's that?" This time Flint growled that it was two more days by walking. "Oh... are we there yet?"

"NO! JUST BE QUIET FOR ONCE!" Flint yelled. Tas' eyes started to fill with tears.

"Flint! Look at what you did! He's going to cry!" Tanis lectured Flint and then comforted Tas.

(A/N: Sorry this is all for now. My parents are kicking me off because it's 1:30 in the morning. There will be more, and please review!)
