Chapter 1
My name is Logan. I awake to find myself, moving, I am confused. Why, after so long, are my captors moving me. I hear the roar of an engine; I'm guessing that we are in a large vehicle. I cannot see my captors, but I see stripes of light at the bottom of this cold metal box. I see that there are others. Those heartless monsters have taken others. But it is nice to know that I am not alone. Yet, to know that I am not alone cannot overcome the fear of going where I know not. With no one to disturb me, I can finally catch up on the sleep those monsters have been depriving me of.
(Time lapse)
"What are you doing sleeping you little snot!" a voice roared.
I jolted awake, trying to get my bearings in a short period of time. I looked sleepily at one of my captors. He was ushering the other captives out of the back of the truck which I assume is a semi. He had brown eyes, with unkempt brown hair. He had a slight build, but his gut was starting to protrude. He was about 6 feet tall and was wearing a stained white shirt, with the sleeves torn off. He looked like a total grease-ball, a dirt bag, with nothing better to do with his life than to kidnap a bunch of teens. His left sock was torn, and you could see his toes through his right one. I assume that he is dressed like that to throw us off or something. He had a rather crooked, big nose; I assume it was broken a few times. In other words, he looked like a bum. He grabbed me by the shirt collar and yanked me out of the truck then shoved me with the rest. I rammed into a boy not much taller than I.
"Watch where you're going next time," He said.
"Terribly sorry, but that bum-looking monster threw me out of the truck," I replied.
As I was saying this, a rather beautiful girl was thrown violently out of the truck. She tried to catch her balance but tripped. Seeing this, I leaped forward; arms outstretched, and caught her. She looked up at me; a grateful look in her eyes, then opened her mouth to speak.
