The night
calls in my blood.
Morning
beauty and sun-sparkles
Are
nothing but illusion,
Nothing
but reflections in a blank mirror.
It is the
night that holds me captive
And spins
a web of fantasy
Around my
silver soul.
Seconds of
daylight
Pour
unnoticed, grains of sand
That flow
into the hourglass,
Counting
away the light filled moments
Until the
blessed release
Of the
exquisite moonrise;
When the
sky is filled with
Starlight-lace
and
Secretive
moonlit shadows.
When the
sun throws away
Her hold
over the waking world,
I wander
in the night.
The
shadows dance at my footsteps,
The stars
draw my destiny overhead,
My friend
the moon
Watches
over me
And holds
me safe.
I am a
child of the moon
Spawn of
the night sky and
Deeply
shadowed earth.
The night
calls in my blood.
As the
rain falls
Under the
sky of obsidian glass,
I look to
the veiled stars
And dance
with the night.
Every
shadow I create,
Every
shimmering star
Twirls to
my movement.
In the
dance of the darkness
And the
touch of the rain
I am
whole.
I am a
child of the night,
The night
calls quietly in my blood.
