The new street: part three
"Raz," began Naomi," we need you now, more than ever." The brown haired woman removed her tear-stained face from Khan. She looked for a second at the bodies on the floor, and than lifted her head to Naomi. "I can't, I can't control it directly, I could eat away the entire street," she moaned, in a tiny voice. "We don't have time to waste you stupid girl, do it now," Naomi screamed. Raz stepped back a second, but then stopped, stared at the bodies and she raised her right hand. She paused for only a second, and then swung her hand to the opposite side.
A yellow gas pored from her hand as it went, and slowly floated down to the two bodies. As soon as it made contact the skin began to disappear from the bodies, although it was being eaten. Soon the bone began to dissipate, and the muscle followed. All that remained was a large blood stain, which slowly slipped towards the sewer gutter. The smoke returned to her hands. "I did it," she smiled, but then stopped as she realized what she just did.
Felix started to shake and clench his teeth. He began to breathe heavy. "Why!" He screamed louder than any of them have ever heard, but said nothing. Ask no questions if he was okay. They understood that Felix was… well Felix, and that he had his own way of doing this. He moved his fist in front of him, and than swung them apart. The right hit nothing but air, but the left, however, smashed into a building. A large whole farmed in the building as bricks and ash fell from the building.
Before Felix could get anymore anger out of his system, two more Triggers, the men in the uniforms, ran onto the other end of the street. "Get them, get them now," they screamed as they ran towards the group, and their weapons clutched in their hands. Felix, still cooped with energy ran forward, fist ready for a fight. The men were fast, however, and each managed to get off six shots off before Felix and bashed both of them into the pavement. Felix turned around to face the group, a sad, yet happy grin on his face. He fell to the ground, a pile of blood forming underneath him.
Khan stood their. He was the largest of the group, but had managed to do nothing. He was a ashamed, he had done nothing, and people had died because of it. As more uniformed men showed up on the street, Khan realized that he must do what was best for the group. "I… hate you all," he laughed as he stared down the street. He slammed his fist together as a he ran towards the men, his skin became surrounded by a icy substance. The guns fired and the bullets, at first, bounced off his skin. The nearest man froze in his tracks, but the second man smacked the back of Khan's head with his gun. Khan turned around in rage, but the same mad had stuck his gun to Khan's stomach, and pulled the trigger. He joined Felix on the ground.
"God damn it," cried out Alice. "Why can't well just get along, god damn it," she burst into tears. She screamed as high as her lunges would allow. Naomi placed her arm around Alice and cried with her, and then they were joined by Raz. The three woman stood their, for only a second. Soon they all began to run down the dark street, running non stop until they could run no more.
"I know somewhere we can go, for now. A safe haven, I think he'll let us in." Naomi showed no fear in her words, although she was trembling. "We have to run though, look, cops!"
They ran down for almost a straight hour, dodging cop cars whenever they saw one. They arrived at an apartment and entered it. Their clothes dripped on the bright red carpet, and the bell hop came up to them, a disgusted look on this face. "Can I help you…ladies" he said sickly. "No thank you, we can help our selves. We're meeting two friends in room 13, the presidential sweet," Naomi said, calmly. "Go ahead…" he smirked.
They walked down the hall, silent, until Alice finally spoke, "who are we meeting?" "Friends, now shut up," Naomi replied. She stopped at the door, for apartment 13. She knocked on the door; a black hooded character opened the door. "Naomi… and friends, come in honey, what's wrong." The three came into the room; Raz gazed at the food set at the table, and wanted to throw up. She didn't feel like eating, she didn't think she could eat ever again.
Thirty minutes passed as Naomi tolled the one day story, and waited for his response. "Andrew," began a plump woman, "get them out of my room!" Her girth shook as she yelled. "Now Rayn, she's my friend, I can't throw her out." As the spoke, a red light peered into the room throw the open master-window. Rayn stood up, "Get out of my room, or I'll turn into the nastiest creature on earth and rip your fucking heart out!" Andrew stood up and placed his hand on Rayn's head. "Sleep," he muttered: and she did. "Naomi she's right you now. You are endangering us all," Andrew spoke, with a calm firm voice.
A large bang was heard as the glass shattered, and a bullet had pierced through Andrew's stomach. A large whole dripped with blood as he fell on the floor. Next thing, before anyone could even scream, a group of men, dressed in dark green kicked open the door to the room. Alice was quick, however, and turned around. She released her flame which smothered the first man, as he burned and died. Another man fired his machine gun, and Alice fell to the floor. "Why are you doing this? We are human damn it. We have done no one any harm. Please, spare us," screamed Raz!
Naomi ran after the nearest Trigger, hand out stretched, but was shot down by the same gun. This was all Raz could take. She screamed at the top of her lunges, and the gas poured out of every hole in her body. It spread quickly through the building, killing every uniformed man, and every citizen in near by rooms. Pools of blood lay trickling everywhere it had taken affect. Walls began to melt, and metal liquid dripped down onto the floor.
Raz ran into the street, through the newly-made whole in the wall. She was trapped however. Police officers stood at each end of the street, and soldiers marched towards her. "Am I the only member who dies by a different way…," she cried. The officers aimed, and fired. She lay dead on the street.
The new street: part four
The TV in the bar flicked on, and the weather report was just finishing up. Soon, the TV switched to a news caster. "The experimental "Trigger" defense program has been proven effective once again. Ten extremely dangerous mutants were dealt with today by various Trigger Officers. All ten mutants were extremely deadly, causing a series of deaths before they were taken care of." The anchor responded, "Yes well, the government has finally got an 'Ace in the Hand' mutant-handling program. Next up, changes in the Vatican shake up Rome and abroad.
