I used Viz's translation on the poem because, even though Viz is evil, it's hard to find direct information in scanlations.
I can't decide who I like more, Tatsuki or Orihime. I can't decide who this fic revolves around more, Tatsuki or Orihime.
I'm assuming Orihime and Tatsuki don't use horrifics w/ each other because they are such good friends. Actualy, I think Orihime calls Tatsuki 'Tatsuki-chan', but whatever. It's not like I'm forgetting to give Yachiru her nickname obsesion, right? Right?"I…I didn't want him to die, Tatsuki!" Orihime sobbed into her friend's shoulder.
"No one wants anyone to die, Orihime." Tatsuki looked to the sky. Rain was coming, and soon.
"B-but, he was, he was-!" More sobbing broke out. Orihime collapsed next to Tatsuki, uneven tears falling like the rain that had started a few seconds ago.
Tatsuki faked a sob and looked to the sky. The rain was here. Rain had always reminded Tatsuki of a poem Orihime had written in the seventh grade.
If I where rain,
That joins sky and earth that otherwise never touch,
Could I join two hearts as well?
Tatsuki sobbed for real this time. The rain and cold was starting to get to her. She had never been so emotional about stuff like this, but Orihime almost died whenever they walked near the grave marker.
"Maybe if I had..." Orihime looked at her hands, "loved him more this wouldn't have happened."
"Orihime, this is in no way your fault. He died because... " Tatsuki paused. How had he died? She knew there had been a car involved...
"Maybe we should..." Orihime got up, standing next to her friend she said, "...Maybe we should go inside now, since it's raining and everything..."
"Oh, yeah, lets, It's pouring." Tatsuki was glad toget away from the rain and the grave. She had the foresight to grab an umbrella before they left, but with Orihime falling all over the place, both of them had gotten soaked, "You can stay at my place in till the rain stops."
"Ohhh! Tatsuki-chan is so nice!" Orihime started joking, a sure sign that she was recovering from her recent emotional explosion.
The rain, on the other hand, continued to splash all over the place. Tatsuki was actually thinking it was slowly becoming a downpour, "Let's run, Orihime, it's getting really bad out here!"
"Okay! Oh, it's Ishida-kun!" Orihime started to run off to see her friend, but Tatsuki grabbed her and continued walking.
"Say hi to him at school! Its way too rainy to just say 'hello' to random people today!" Tatsuki rolled her eyes and continued running.
Ishida, of course, could only adjust his glasses in confusion and continue to run home from a certain sewing shop.
"Ishida-kun isn't random people," Orihime stopped in front of The Arisawa House as Tatsuki fumbled for her keys, "he's my friend"
"Whatever, whatever!" Tatsuki pushed her friend inside and slammed the door behind her. 'This,' she thought to herself, 'is the absolutely last time we visit that stupid cat's grave!'
Oh! And you though Ichigo died, didn't you! Well! I'll have you know that the whole time he was fine; sitting at home arguing with his sisters about Don Kanonji wile Kon re-bandaged his ear. Yes, all was fine in the Kurosaki house, but Orihime's cat, Tama-chan, died. I bet you didn't really care about that! Nooo! It's always about Ichigo!
Wile we are on the subject of Ichigo, does anyone know what the second kanji in his name means? I assume it's for 'protector' but I'm not sure.
Anyway, thanks, I tried to leave out all the fan Japanese this time, because I couldn't really see Orihime or Tatsuki doing that kinda stuff. Tell me if you think anyone was outta character, and PLEASE REVIEW!
