Provoked by her sadness
The tears slowly fell
Unaware
Of the tings left to love
That can love in return
Downstairs in a house
Filled with empty souls
The people said
It sounded like rain
And breaking hearts
Her tears, her heart
Slipped down her cheeks
Painfully drop by drop
Between heart wrenching sobs
All the things she kept inside
Now fell past her eyes
For all the world to see
Yet nobody saw
The pain
Eyes overflowing
Regret, sorrow, misery
Seeping out
In the infinite flow of tears
They slowly tore her heart
Her voice
To broken pieces
When she screamed and sobbed
For all she was worth
As slowly she falls back to earth
So close but yet so for
From heaven
So far from freedom and joy
That she deserved
As she came tumbling down
Down and away
