A/N: I was watching some episodes of Buffy from season seven and I realized that Buffy was getting that additude were she is the best, she is the most powerful and everybody is just useless and everyone should try to be more like her and blah blah blah. I personally don't like that side of her and I am writing this story to tone her down, among other things. This story also shows how obsessed I am with the show and how little of a life I actually have.

Disclaimer: I own nothing except the dog. My doggy!

Summary: Something new comes to Sunnydale and everybody rushes to find out what it is. Spike knows it, but it knocks him out before he can tell anyone, without even touching him. It's strongerand faster than the slayer, and very powerful, and it knows all about them.

Outsider

Prologue

A stray black lab wondered down Revollvo Drive.

The young male walked down the street and stopped in front of a house. He walked closer to it and watched through the brand new windows a young woman talking to a bunch of teenage girls. None of the faces seemed too happy about what she was saying.

Even though the woman was a little over ten feet away, and on the other side of a wall that had had too many holes punched through it and been repaired to many times, he could feel her power. Even more so he could feel the witch's power and he could almost see it glow, pulsing through her body as it surged through her.

He wondered if she felt it, if she had any idea how powerful she really was, or if any of the people in the room knew how powerful each and everyone of them were.

More than they realized, yet not enough.

The lab watched as the woman left the room, the lecture apparently over. He looked at all the dismal faces as they looked at each other, not saying a word.

Over twenty people in the room, and not one had a word to say.

They started leaving the room, and he could see the resentment and the hurt in their faces.

The lab looked down, sad to see what one person could do with just a few words. He looked back up as the room cleared and the vampire got up off the wall he had been leaning against.

If he could he would have narrowed his eyes but instead a slow doggy grin appeared and he opened his mouth to pant like all dogs do and sat down.

When the vampire left his sight he stood up. He lingered for only a moment more, watching the remaining people in the room and then he turned away and walked back down the street.

Well, I know it's short, and I hate writing short little things but oh well. This is just the beginning and if I continue I will have a lot more with the scoobies and the potential slayers, and not very much for my lab's point of view. But that depends on what kind of reviews I get, if people don't like it then I won't continue with this story and just leave it as it is, but first I will say that this story has a lot more to it which you may find out in later chapters.

But again, if I don't get reviews then I won't continue.
