The Writer And The Editor. (one shot fic)

Shigure sat at his desk staring at his computer.

"I think I'll use a new penname," Shigure sighed.

The day was boring and he felt like he could fall asleep. Mitchan walked in and looked down at her boss.

"Sensei, please tell me that you have the last fifty pages done. We're cutting it too close to the deadline!" Mitchan whined.

"Not yet, I need quiet to continue my work," Shigure responded.

"Of course, I'll be right back but you must have it done by the end of the day!" Mitchan exclaimed as she shut the door behind her.

"Let's see. Penname? Penname? Of course."

Shigure typed in his penname and went on to fill out the rest of his application.

Mitchan listened to the quick clicking of the keyboard and then sat down next to the door.

"Maybe he won't make me suffer anymore," Mitchan hoped as she looked through a crack between the door and the wall.

Shigure took out a cigarette and lit it. He then closed his eyes and leaned back for a few minutes and then went on typing for several hours.

"No, this isn't right. How should I put it?" Shigure asked himself quietly. "Oh, this is good. Yes."

"Are you done?" Mitchan beamed as she slid the door open.

"Yes," Shigure smiled.

"Good, let me have the manuscript please," Mitchan replied.

"Manuscript? I was working on an online story," Shigure admitted.

"It's a great site! You should try it here's where you'll find a profile of a great author," he said handing her a slip of paper.

"Sensei! The deadline!" she cried.

"Don't worry about it. I only have fifty more pages to go."

"You mean you haven't even started yet?"

"You could say that."

"I'll wait for it outside."

Mitchan left once again and went to the kitchen.

"Are you Shigure's editor?" Yuki asked.

"No, I'm his slave," Mitchan cried. "All he does is make me suffer."

"Well, he left this on the table."

"What?"

Mitchan opened the package and looked inside. Not only were the fifty pages there but even a bonus about him (made up of course).

Mitchan returned home later that evening and opened her e-mail. There were fifteen messages and they all came from the same site. One was labeled to Mitchan from Shigure.

Mitchan,

Enjoy what I hope is fan mail if not then don't open it.

-Shigure

Mitchan looked over the story that Shigure had written in her name. It was all about a complaining editor and a nice boss. The last lines read: Now you are a part of me to the much-appreciated editor, Mitchan.

That is how the story ends.

I know, I know. The story was boring and short but hey what can I say? I won't be getting the complaints.

Dear Pokemeidareu,
