I gazed up a Remus, letting my hand drift over his hip. He was still so beautiful. Except…he was different. Whoever said that people's bodies are full grown at the age of twenty-one lied. If they did say that, but I couldn't remember.

But no, he wasn't the kind, patient, yet sad young man that he had once been. Now, he was the snarky professor that smoked and talked dirty when nobody else was around, but patient and fatherly with everybody else.

And it made me jealous. At least once a week, he would say, "Jesus, Sirius. You haven't changed a bit." And I knew that I hadn't. I wanted to have gone through the changes that Remus had, find out what completely, but still beautiful creature I would have become.

And yet, he still loved me.

He looked down at me, and smiled.

"Happy April Fool's day," he said. "And happy birthday."

I looked at him with a raised eyebrow, and replied, "I'm glad the sex was last night. I might think you were tricking me."

He gave a small frown, and leaned down to kiss me softly, before rising and pulling on a pair of pajama pants and heading out of the room. After a moment, I followed him, down the stairs to the kitchen that had become a new experience to me upon my entering the house last July. Remus was making tea, and looking in the cupboards for something that would suffice as breakfast.

"I love how you go wandering around the house starkers," he said, turning with a raised eyebrow.

"What's the big deal," I said with a shrug. "Nobody here to see me."

"Except that bloody house elf. I wonder if gets off on it."

I choked on the brandy I had taken a sip of. "Remus! That's disgusting!"

He gives a small, evil smile. "Well, you have to wonder what he does with all the time that he's supposed to be cleaning. I wonder if he thinks about you putting your hand on your—"

"I HATE YOU!"

Remus' grin widened, and he came forward to kiss me. God, I loved his kisses, sometimes gentle and nice, but more often hard and passionate. When he pulled back to look at me, I swayed forward slightly.

"….I take it back. I love you," I said, dazedly.

He laughed, and turned back to his teapot.

"But I'm still not putting on any pants."

Notes: I think this is a better gift for my birthday, even if it is a bit late……

I put Sirius' birthday on April Fool's day, cause of the irony it would be toward his parents. Plus, that would make him an Aries, and it sort of suits him. Even if his birthday's in October in all my other fics.
