Author's Notes: Look at that! I'm on a kind of roll this month, yes I am. I was originally going to have this as a second chapter to Diminished Animosity, but then I decided nah, I should keep it by its lonesome and just make it a sort of sequel. Don't really know why I did it ... You don't have to read Diminished Animosity to read this, but you know if you want to ... you can. Have fun. Enjoy.

Hu-Bot

Duke Red placed his cane in the stand next to his bedroom door and his hat back on the rack. He sat slowly on the side of his bed, his legs aching, and stared around.

The walls of his room were covered in shelves that were covered in pictures. Pictures of one person. Pictures of Tima. Tima ... Tima, with her hair a golden crown and eyes endless emerald gems.

But the Duke couldn't think of her that way anymore because he himself had tainted his image of her. Now ... now he didn't know what she was. He had turned her into something monstrous, something bestial. Something she should have never been: A robot.

Red cringed at the mere thought of such a creature. He had created her. It was his fault. It was his fault that the tower had blown up, that so many people had been hurt ... He was a criminal. He was a murderer. Murderer.

But even worse than that, he had betrayed his own beliefs. He loathed robots with all the passion his heart would allow, and yet he stooped to such a level that he put people's lives in danger to make his daughter into one of those ... those beasts.

Duke stood and rushed to the shelves, swiping the picture frames to the ground where they shattered. He did this to all the shelves in the room, screaming with a mad rage.

When he'd finished he stood in the middle of the room, panting, staring around the room at the damage. When he calmed down and realized what he'd done, his eyes widened and he dropped to his pounding knees. He reached out with a trembling hand to a picture, picking it out of the glass.

He cradled it and weeped, rocking back and forth. "Sorry ... Didn't mean to ... Tima ... I'm sorry ... Caused so much pain ... Never meant it ..." he whimpered incoherently, shoulders shaking and chest heaving.

Tima had once been a human. She had once been a robot. She had been both in one body ...

Author's Notes: One of my shortest one-shots I think ... It didn't turn out quite like I pictured it, but I'm not complaining ... yet. I'll find some flaw eventually, even if you don't point it out to me. Which reminds me ... R&R! C&C welcome, wanted ... badly needed.
