Pairings: This is important. Okay, you should know, first and foremost, I am a Tate shipper. DO NOT STOP THERE. This certain songfic thinger could go either Kibbs or Tate. Yes, I know, I'm a girl of many talents (unfortunately, songwriting doesn't happen to be one of them because I'm gifted with the inability to rhyme!). Actually, it could be any Kate/male-in-the-workplace if you want it to be. So read it, review it if you want, whatever.

Notice how I tried to appeal to all sides of the shipper issue...well, the Kate/other male shipper issue, because I didn't use anyone's name...hahahahaha.

Um, rating is for one tiny tiny little swear word (h-e-double hockey sticks...) and possibly the issue of her being shot and drinking. But really, it's perfectly okay. At least, I think.

Author's Note: I know, I know. Another Twilight fic? Yeah, well, I can do what I want, and this has been bugging me for a while. Now, normally I don't listen to Avril Lavigne, but it was on at the bowling alley! What was I supposed to do? It stuck!

Disclaimer: Yeah, yeah, I don't own them. If I did, you all know: Kate wouldn't be dead. Sadly enough, I keep writing Twilight stories about their reactions...why? Why? Why? Oh, and I don't own Avril Lavigne's My Happy Ending, and this is just a rip-off of the chorus and quite possibly some of the verse stuff. It's the same tune, just different things.

Now that that's over, let's get on with it. Oh, and there is no plot, because you can't really make up a plot to a made-up song anyway. I mean, they could be listening to it on the radio or something, but since it uses their names and Ari's, something would be incredibly messed up with that radio station. Rambling much? Just for you grammar peoples: yes, I totally switched tenses and subjunctives or whatnot, as my sister reminds me, but it's late and I have no grammar during the summer anyway.

They can't talk it over

Now that she's dead

What Ari did, he knew where it led

Kate Todd is gone now, and she's not coming back

From one single shot of a sniper attack

She was all the things he thought he knew, and they thought they could be

She was everything, everything that he wanted

They were meant to be, supposed to be, but he lost her

All the memories so close to him won't fade away

All these years they were pretending

So much for their happy ending

He's stuck with their secret, and he's stuck with her ring

In a week, they're supposed to be marrying

But the bottle is empty as he takes the last drink

If she's watching him now, what the hell would she think?

She was all the things he thought he knew, and they thought they could be

She was everything, everything that he wanted

They were meant to be, supposed to be, but he lost her

All the memories so close to him won't fade away

All these years they were pretending

So much for their happy ending

Ari hit them way too hard

Now he'd finally gone too far

But he knows there's a price on his head

You know, they could've had it all

Gibbs and Tony watched her fall

And they both knew she was dead

She was everything, everything that he wanted

They were meant to be, supposed to be, but he lost her

All the memories so close to him won't fade away

All these years they were pretending

So much for their happy ending

So, whaddya think? Wow, these little notes were actually longer than the story- well, song, I guess. I know, a pathetic late-night attempt but an attempt nonetheless. So please, press the review button and I'll give you a slice of cheese. Well, imaginary, but still- cheese! You can tell me I suck, but I won't pay attention anyway, so is it really worth your time?
