Kagome's Big Test
Kagome, as usual, was fighting her dog-friend more commonly known as Inuyasha.
"Inuyasha, I have to go! I already miss way to much school as it is, and we should be having a test soon. I'll be right back, ok?"
"Kagome you can't leave now!" Inuyasha broke off as Kagome burst into tears. "Oh, crap," he thought, "what'd I do now?" There was nothing he hated more than seeing her cry. "Kagome," he said out loud, " I'm sorry. You can go and stay all you want there." She still hadn't stopped crying, desperate he tried again: "I'm sorry Kagome!"
Kagome broke into a smile. "Thanks, Inuyasha. I'll be back as soon as the test is over." She gave him a hug and jumped down the well. On the other side, she climbed out to see that her three friends were at her house. Kagome sat down and waited for them to leave. Twenty minutes passed by and her friends finally left. She headed to the house and saw her mom. Ms. Higurashi turned to her daughter with a goofy grin on her face.
"Kagome your friends stopped by to say you have a test tomorrow…over the Feudal Era." Kagome walked up to her mother smiling broadly. "You're joking right?" asked Kagome…no WAY was it that easy. "Nope. I'm dead serious," said her mother, fighting back the giggles at the absurdity of it all.
Later that night, Kagome hung up the phone. She had told her friends that she would definitely be at school tomorrow for the test. For once she wasn't stressed out about it, she felt completely prepared. "This is going to be too easy," she thought as she drifted off to sleep.
The next morning, Kagome was woken up by her little brother Sota. "Kagome, get up, it's time for school!" As soon as he left, Kagome pulled herself out of bed and got dressed. Today was going to be the easiest day of school ever.
As the tests were being handed out, Kagome couldn't help but smirk. She felt a little bad for her friends, who were all stressing about how they were afraid they hadn't studied enough. Kagome looked at the test, pleased to see that she knew all the answers, in a very personal way. "I am so going to get an A on this," she thought.
"A 'C'?" Kagome shrieked as the teacher handed her the test back. "How the HELL did I get a 'C'?" The teacher reprimanded her for yelling in class. "Maybe if you studied more, you would know!" he said, irritated. "This is history class, not mythology. And your answers here, here, and here were completely wrong." He pointed out several sections. "You shouldn't be surprised you got a 'C' with the way you made things up. Look here, the story of the Goshinboku tree, you've added all kinds of stuff to the facts. This isn't creative writing Kagome!"
Miffed, Kagome hurried home and back to the Feudal Era to meet up with her friends. As usual, Inuyasha was waiting for her right outside the well, ready to reprimand her for 'being late'.
"Kagome, you're back!" said Inuyasha happily as she climbed out of the well. He was trying to be nice today. "How was the test?" Kagome glared at him. Inuyasha gulped. He knew what came next. "What the hell did I do this time?" he thought.
"Sit, Sit, Sit, Sit, Sit, Sit, Sit, Sit, Sit, Sit, Sit, Sit, Sit, Sit, Sit, Sit, Sit, Sit, Sit, and Sit Boy." Leaving him in a rather deep Inuyasha-shaped ditch, she stormed off to the village to show her test to her friends.
A/N: This is just a one shot, but someone can take it. The idea would be that Inuyasha and the others go to Kagomes school to show her it could not be that hard.
