There is something there
That makes us scared
Scared of continuing in life despair
Something that runs us down at times
Something forcing us to lose our dimes
There is something that we all are afraid of
Something that takes us all above
Something that separates happiness from love
It is what we fear most
The end of our lives, a haunting ghost
Death, it is
Death causes even the happy to go amiss
