Tears were on her face; if not streaming, at least making good size trickles.
He scowled at her. "What? Is it really that funny?"
Gasping for breath, she nodded and held up a hand, indicating he should wait.
The lad's frown deepened as he looked down. It was the first time he'd shown anyone, and this was how she took it! Started laughing!
"Can't you grow up," he snapped, getting more irritated as her laughter went on. "Be mature, you know? I thought only mature people did this," he added grumpily.
The hilarity she had exhibited in the start was finally starting to ebb as he said this, but it came back, with even more force than before; if that could be possible.
He stood and gaped, his face now flushed red as the fire in the hearth. His manner, which only minutes before had been extremely excited, was now changing rapidly.
"Oh, bloody hell, come on!" he said, impatience and some kind of entreaty in his voice. "Can we just do this?"
"Yes, yes, of course!" said she, grinning. "But you should have showed me this sooner, I never thought-"
"Well, I can't help it! I was born with it. Blame my bloody parents!"
"I know-Of course! I know that. It's just…"
"It's just what?" he finally exploded. She stared at him, smiling, obviously still amused and doing a very bad job at hiding it.
"Oh," she said, and reached down to give it a caress. "I know. I'm sorry…"
His breath was still coming in huffs from the outburst, but he was mollified somewhat. He took it from her hands and looked at it again, shaking his head.
He looked at her, but this time began to smile.
"Bloody middle name," muttered Ron, staring down at his birth certificate once more. "Why do we need them for the marriage certificate?"
"Bilius," grinned Hermione.
He glanced up again and caught her gaze, and this time they both began to laugh.
A/N: I usually don't do RW/HG, but I just learned what Ron's middle name was, and this just came to me. I found it fun to write, I don't know about fun to read.
My apologies for changing the title, but after I found about ten other stories with the same name, I felt I had to.
