Summary: Snake and Otacon finish watching a movie. Snake instigates an argument.
"Well, that was a crap ending!" Otacon said as he jammed down on the remote's stop button.
"What was wrong with it?" The man sitting next to him asked. He thought it was a really good movie full of plot twists and meaning.
The overall theme was patriotism and it didn't come off corny in the film.
"That guy could have killed him at anytime, but he didn't." Otacon waved his hands frantically. "And then the way he thanks him is by calling the guards to shoot him. That's. A. Crap. Ending!"
"I don't know," Snake said thoughtfully. "It's like Einstein said, 'All things are relative.'"
Otacon looked down and then glanced sideways at the older man. He tried to understand what Snake meant, but it was so hard getting over the way his friend butchered the meaning of Einstein's breakthrough theory describing the nature of time and space. He practically glared at Snake. The reflection from the TV on his glasses made the normally mild-mannered man look scary.
"Snake," Otacon said disapprovingly, "that's not even what that theory was talking about!" Otacon got off the couch and went into the kitchen to get another beer. "I don't think I can talk to you right now!"
Snake watched his friend's retreating back. "Now you know how I felt," he thought as a grin spread across his face.
A/N: The guys are talking about Hero. I was going to say something else about Einstein's Theory of Relativity, but I was scared some physics fanboy or girl would come in saying, "STFU N00b! That's the general theory. Not the special theory." Man, MGS fics. No matter how stupid they are, you end up doing research.
