Title: Something New
Fandom: Card Captor Sakura
Characters: Touya, Yue
Notes: First time I'm writing these two so I hope it turned out okay... Also, dedicated totenshiforgotten because she encouraged me to write this scene, and assured me that it wasn't a horrible mess.
"Come inside and warm up," Touya said, unlocking the front door and going inside. He hung up his coat and removed his shoes before continuing further in, Yue following silently.
"Feel free to sit down," Touya called out to him as he headed into the kitchen. Yue glanced down at the couch, then opted to remain standing, glancing around at his surroundings a little while he waited for Touya to come back out, wondering absentmindedly what the boy had gone to do.
Touya came back out about five minutes later, carrying two mugs in his hands. When he saw Yue still standing, he stopped walking, then sighed and continued over to him, extending one of the mugs to him. "Here, it'll warm you up."
Yue took the mug compliantly, but instead of drinking from it he just stared down into it.
"It's hot chocolate," Touya said helpfully, watching his blank expression.
Glancing up at him, Yue said, "I don't need to drink."
Touya blinked. "Seriously?"
Yue glared at him. "You think I'd lie? I am able to, but as there's no need, I don't."
"No, it's just...a little weird. So you've never had hot chocolate before?"
Yue looked back down at the cup. "...Clow drank it sometimes. But I never cared to try it."
"Well, now's your chance. Drink some," Touya suggested.
"..." Finally, Yue took a hesitant sip.
"Well?"
"...it's not horrible."
Touya smiled one of his rare, gentle smiles. "I'm glad you like it."
