Author's Note: Taking a break from writing the next part of Sanctuary, because quite frankly, it's kicking my butt. I've been hit with a major Spru obsession, so I just had to write this. Inspiration came from me eating an apple, I know, weird thing to get inspiration from, right? Oh well, that's just the way my brain works. Hope you all enjoy.

Self pimpage: If anyone reading this likes Charmed too, and hasn't read my Sanctuary series may I suggest you give it a look?

Disclaimer: Don't own Buffy, cause then Spike and Dru would be together forever.

The liquid ran down Drusilla's wrist and she licked it up, closing her eyes in ecstasy. "Ohh, it burns…like garlic."

Spike scoffed, "First off, that's an apple, second, garlic doesn't hurt us." As she took another bite he wondered just why she was eating an apple. Giving it up to just another one of her peculiar actions that made her so Dru, he went back to what he was doing. Which was nothing besides trying to figure out how to take down the slayer and his grandsire at the same time. He was just getting his thoughts back on track when she began to dance in circles around him. "Love, I can't concentrate with you doing that." She paused long enough to let out a series of high pitched yips, grab Ms. Edith and continue dancing, singing quietly to the doll. Spike ground his teeth. He loved Drusilla more than could be describable, but when she threw all her oddities into the space of a few minutes it really started to grind his nerves.

She had acquired another apple by now. He had no idea where she was getting them from, they didn't make it a habit to keep fruit in the household. She shoved it in his face, her nails digging into the skin of it, "Look Spikey."

"Yeah, it's an apple…" he studied it carefully, trying to detect anything peculiar with it, but could find nothing. It was just a normal apple. The only thing odd about it was its mysterious origins."

"It's red…" her eyes were wide and she looked like she was concentrating very hard.

"They also come in green and yellow," he bit out. He tried to indulge her, really he did, but there was only so much psychotic sire one vampire could take.

"It's red," she said again. "Like blood."

Spike sighed and said quietly, "Oh, here we go again."

Drusilla squeezed her fingers tighter around it, nails digging in deeper, and clear liquid ran out. "It doesn't bleed….it doesn't taste…it lies." She held it in one hand, and used the nails of her other to score it all the way around, so that the top half and bottom half were clearly separated, then she took it in both hands again and viciously twisted, effectively breaking the two halves apart.

"Seems a bit harsh a punishment for lying…" Spike eyed her warily as he said that, not able to guess what her next move would be. She again shoved the apple in his face.

"What do you see?"

Spike squinted and turned his head to the side, "Kinda looks like a star." She seemed satisfied with his answer and went back to Ms Edith and her other dolls, dropping the apple and forgetting about it. Spike watched one half wobble back and forth, then stop, he shook his head and went back to planning.
