She liked to wander around his apartement, half-dressed, nosing into everything. She tasted his food, looked through his books, smelled his clothes and used his shower. She constantly was trying to get inside his head, and he didn't really mind. It was easier than trying to explain it to her.
She was smart enough to figure it out on her own.
