Rain.
Glorious rain...
A smile of contentment softly graced her angelic face as droplets of water trickled down the skin of her cheeks.
Brilliant emerald eyes glistened as they silent observed the endless oblivion that was the cloud-
filled sky.
It didn't matter that her clothes were thoroughly soaked to the point where they firmly stuck to places that weren't meant to be inhabited. It didn't matter that her long, damp hair was fiercely tangled and would probably take a few days of diligent brushing to return its former glossy state.
The only thing she could focus on, the only thing she could allow to infect her thoughts and tenderly yank at her heart...was the rain.
She wasn't sure why...
But it reminded her of the gentle pitter-patter of a Tamaranien newborn's tiny footsteps as it scampered out into an open field of bold browns and oranges, excitedly preparing for the most wondrous event its young life could produce; the gift of flight. Where happiness, beautiful happiness would swell within their fragile body until it felt fit to burst, and their feet would gently push off the ground beneath them, leaving the world behind for a greater freedom. For a freedom that consisted of nothing...but true euphoria.
It was a feeling one didn't easily forget.
For a lingering moment, she allowed her own lanky body to become reacquainted with the familiar emotion, as the rain continued to curtain down all around her. Arms spread out away from her sides, she swayed freely, a tiny tree caught amidst a fierce wind.
No inhibitions. No worries. Not a care in the world crossed her mind as she danced. Only an innocent happiness, a happiness that came straight from one's purest soul...
She laughed, her voice jingling like bustling wind-chimes, before turning her direciton to behind her, where another figure stood, concealed by the magnificent shadow the giant 'T'-shaped headquarters created.
She flashed a smile at them before beginning to gracefully move once more, too caught up in the feeling to let it slip through her hands so carelessly.
"Come into the rain, Robin! It is a most enjoyable experience!"
It took a moment or two before the shadowed figure reluctantly stepped out into the downpour, yellow cloak wrapped around his shoulders tightly, teeth chattering something fierce.
Rain.
Stupid rain...
