Finally, another chapter! This was actually written a while ago, but my computer broke (again), so I couldn't post it. Oh, and the chapter title is adapted from the book Whatever Happened to Janie? So…yeah.

"They could be anywhere by now!" Kerri exclaimed as the group plotted their course of action. "We have to do something!"

"There's nothing we can do." Her mother reasoned. "We'll have to leave this to the professionals. Besides, Dumbledore has his ways of finding people. I'm sure he's already on his way to bring them back right now."

"But what if he's now!? In the books he always gets there just when it's too late for everyone to go home happy. We have to do something!"

"She's right." Said Ron, "We need to find them."

Late that night Hermione lay awake in her bed unable to sleep. As she stared up at the ceiling, she thought over the day's events. Though they had begged and pleaded, Mrs. McBride refused to let them help their friends. But on the other hand, Hermione reasoned to herself, their friends could be anywhere. They had no possible way of finding them. After all, how would they go about find-

Hermione sat straight up in her bed. The answer was so obvious, why hadn't she thought of it before?

Approximately four minutes later, Hermione and Ron were sitting at the very same coffee table that had attacked Ron when he first arrived. They were pouring over a book when Kerri wandered in.

"What's going on?"

"What are you doing up?" Hermione moved to block the book from the other girl's view.

"I couldn't sleep, I'm worried about Harry and Mari."

"Yeah, so were we…well, it's late, you best bet back to bed then." Ron tried to hurry her away.

"Wait, what's going on?" She gasped dramatically as realization hit. "You're going to rescue them!"

Hermione glanced at Ron, "No…of cou-"

"You have to let me come with you!"

"Kerri, even if we were planning something- which we aren't- it would be way too dangerous. Besides we don't even know where they are."

With the extreme irony that often accompanied such situations, at the exact time when Kerri was about to give up and go back to sleep when Hermione moved ever-so-slightly, giving Kerri a clear view of the book on the table.

"Oh my God! That's the Lost Book of the Lost! You're planning on using that to find them!"

"Yes," replied Ron, clearly annoyed, "and we were just about to try when you walked in."

"Well don't let me interrupt." She said, plopping down on the floor across from her friends and looking up expectantly.

"Fine." Hermione gave up, drew her wand and leaned over the book. "Harry Potter." She said, as she tapped the appropriate page and waited as the words began to form spelling out her friend's location.

"So they're in London then." Said Ron, as he read off the page.

"Well then," Kerri burst in, "Let's go!"

"Wait, we should probably search for Mari too, in case she's somewhere else." Once again Hermione tapped her wand to the page, this time saying "Mari Smith" as she did so.

All three of them stared at the page in shock as the writing appeared. Her location was the same as Harry's, but that had nothing to do with the surprise that was evident in their faces. They knew from previous experience that the Lost Book of the Lost showed people's true identity, and they also knew that since she was in hiding, "Mari" was not the girl's real name. Still, nothing could have prepared them for what they saw on that paper…

"Ginevra Weasley can be found…"

Harry and Ginny stood before Voldemort. He stared down at them with an evil, yet somewhat amused look.

"Isn't it funny how things work out?" He addressed Harry, "I stop trying to kill you for two minutes and you end up falling right into my hands."

Harry glared at him unmoved. "Ha ha." He said sarcastically.

"Stupify!" Voldemort punished the boy for his insolence. "I will deal with you later." He motioned to a robed figure who stepped forward and dragged Harry away.

The dark lord moved to stand in front of his other prisoner.

"And you. Smith tells me that you've been hiding from me.

Ginny was caught off guard by the headmaster's comment. "Professor – that can't be right! What on Earth could I have to do with all this!?"

Dumbledore signed heavily. "Unfortunatly, the events that occurred in your first year have left you with something that Voldemort wants. He will not stop until he gets this because without it he has no chance of taking over completely.

"So…" Voldemort glared at the girl before him. "Why don't you tell me who you are."

Ginny remained silent.

"Don't feel like talking? Alright, we can do this the hard way…" He raised his wand, and Ginny flinched slightly as she tried to prepare herself for his attack. Voldemort took no notice of this as he cast his spell. "FINITE INCANTUM!"

Ginny had been expecting some kind of torture that would force her to reveal herself. It was a moment before she understood what was actually happening. She watched in horror as her brown locks began to slowly turn red. The change wasn't just her hair; her facial features all began to transform. Mari's green eyes and tan skin were replaced by Ginny's brown eyes and pale complexion, and a small army of freckles began to form across the bridge of her nose.

Voldemort was shocked, and that was not something that happened often. He just stood there for a moment staring at her. That didn't last too long though, and he shook it off as he remembered where he was.

"Well well, if it isn't the youngest Weasley back from the dead. How fortunate we are that you would finally grace us with your presence. You see, I have been searching for you for a very long time. Tell me, has that old Muggle-loving fool told you why you're here?"

Still, Ginny remained silent.

"I'll take that as a yes."

"My lord." Black robes rushed passed Ginny, and the person beneath them bowed before his master.

"What is it?" was the snarled reply.

"Please forgive me for interrupting my lord, but there is someone from the Ministry here to see you. It's very important."

"Yes." Voldemort stood slowly, mentally weighing which of his "guests" most required his immediate attention. "I suppose the girl can wait. Take her back to her cell. And play nice…we wouldn't want to damage her. Yet."

Voldemort spun on his heel and left the room. The death eater followed his master's instructions, yanking Ginny up roughly by the arm and leading her through the dark corridors to the cell where Harry was waiting. The Death Eater thrust her into the tiny room and locked the door behind her.

"Mari? Is that you?" Harry questioned, having since woken from Voldemort's curse.

Ginny froze. Harry was expecting "Mari" to walk (or rather, be shoved) into the room. He was expecting to see the girl who had spent the last few weeks with. He was not expecting his best friend's little sister.

"Mari?" He questioned again. At this, Ginny thanked her lucky stars as she noticed that Harry's glasses were badly broken and perched atop his head.

"Yeah…it's me."

That seemed short…was that short? Anyway, thanks xWhit3StaRx!
