Sophie awoke that morning and a smile immediately formed on her face. She never grew tired of waking up next to him and his serene sleeping face. Not wanting to get up just yet she snuggled closer to him, wrapping her arms around him.
Her movement shook Howl awake. "Hm?" he said groggily, opening his clear blue eyes to look down at Sophie. "Ah, good morning," he said, smiling his childish smile.
"Morning," Sophie smiled back gently. "But I have to go get breakfast started," she said, starting to move away.
Howl whimpered in protest and pulled her even closer to his side. "Not yet," he said. "Just a little longer."
"All right," Sophie sighed, but a smiled was still on her face. "We can stay like this just a little longer," she agreed and place a gentle kiss on his lips.
