Prologue

Miroku's POV

It was a cold and stormy night, but I didn't care because I had the best girlfriend in the world, Koharu Ichiwa, and had my first kiss. The memory was overwhelming. I felt like I was on Cloud Nine. I was still in La-La Land when I ran into an unused, broken-down shack. Curiosity got the better of me, and you know how curiosity killed the cat. I went in, and I shouldn't have seen what I saw. I saw Koharu making out with another man! I won't go into details, but by the way they were positioned, I would give anything to be that man. I yelled at Koharu, tears welling up inside me. "Why? What have I done?" Koharu looked like she didn't care. Then the man got up and pushed me outside. "Fuck off," he said. "Koharu ain't your girl, she's my bitch. Lay a hand on her, and I'll rip you to shreds."

I jolted up from bed. I was sweating like crazy. And I had dreamt the same dream after four years. I, Miroku Houshi, could and will never be that insolent fool again. I vowed to NEVER fall in love again. For I... "Am sleepy, and must go to sleep because I have work tomorrow." muffled my dorm-mate Inuyasha. I sweat-dropped. I was so delved into my thoughts that I didn't realize that I was talking out loud. "Yea, and that too dog-boy," I replied, as I lay awake staring at the ceiling. I thought to myself, 'I'm never gonna fall in love. My heart can't take it anymore.'
