Chapter One- Like a Brother
Hermione Granger stood right next to platform nine and ten. She knew that this was going to be an interesting year for sure. She was one of the prefects. She had no idea who would be the other three prefects. Hopefully Harry! Or Ron. Hell, even Neville! She would be scared of sharing a dorm with Neville though… I mean he didn't mean to. He meant all well but he blew up anything and everything he touched. She liked him and would always be there for him but… she wasn't going to share a room with that.
Hermione decided that if she went into the platform she could get it over with… this year, two more years and then it was over! She could finally get her life over with. Maybe become an Auror. Or maybe she could open her own book store. That would be her dream. Or a nice little coffee shop. Hermione didn't look forward for much anymore. It was always the same. Go to Hogwarts. Get teased by Draco Malfoy. Defeat Voldie. Pass exams… the whole shebang.
"Hermione!" She heard and she turned around. She saw Harry. A grown Harry. He was turning into his father each and every day. He still had the messy jet black hair that Hermione loved… he had the green eyes she could sink into. He had that scar that represented his whole life and purpose. I mean, without Voldlemort, he wouldn't be the Harry we all know. He wouldn't be the one she had grown to feel close too. She only didn't know how close she really felt to him.
Then she saw the red hairs. Ron. He was the one she really missed. He always kept her wide awake even though she was the brains of the operation he was there to make sure everyone and everything was in check. She only didn't know how much he would help her this year. How much he would open her eyes this year. She had two more years to get her life together and to open her eyes. The last chance for what was always in the back of her head.
"Hey Ron, Harry." She said and she hugged both of them and went through the barrier.
"Are you ready to start this year?" Harry asked her.
"More or less." She said and she climbed onto the train and searched for a compartment.
They laughed, they joked, they had the times of their lives. They watched the rain fall. The peacefulness that Hermione would grow used too.
But as far as she was concerned. This moment. In his eyes... she was a sister... and he was a brother. Just a brother
