A/N Hi everyone! I'm sorry not much happens in this chapter I just wanted to get something up. I didn't want you all to think I'd forgotten about this fic. Well, Hope you like it even if it's a little boreing.

December came to Hogwarts as it had always done with its bright festive atmosphere and blanket of crisp white snow. The two united trios of Harry-Hermione-Ron and Amber-Aziza-Emily were trudging through the grounds. They were far too gloomy with Christmas a week away but nothing they'd done had changed the situation. Both Remus and Draco were still imprisoned.

Hermione shivered from the cold flex of snow were scattered in her hair and on her cloths. She drew closer to Harry for warmth; their relationship had grown through out the past month, and they were comfortable enough with each other to show mild affection toward one another around the people present who were used to this sort of thing by now.

The friends looked up Hagrid was calling them from the door of his cabin, "You lot come 'ere a sec." They stepped down into the well used trail that led from his house to the castle and were there in a matter of seconds. He handed a letter to Amber and another to Harry, and a third to Emily. They looked surprised but started reading. Harry's read;

Dear Mr. Harry J. Potter,

You have shown an interest in becoming an Auror. We here at headquarters have reviewed your application for training and concluded that you be accepted. You were recommended by Alastor Moody among other ranking officials here.

We request that you join immediately rather then undertake the usual training. This request is granted highly unusual but necessary at this point in time. Because of new legislation, and your expertise in dueling as well as experience in such situation requiring interaction with individuals of this nature we were informed that you could be an asset in this new endeavor.

Once you accept our proposal you will be informed of your assignment. This is because we were told to be discreet and keep this secret for the time being. We shall be anticipating your return owl and ask that you be prompt in sending it

Sincerely Yours,

Marcia Underwood,

Personal Secretary to the Deputy Minister of Cleansing

Once he'd reached the signature and title his eyes widened, "PERSONAL SECRETARY to the Deputy Minister of CLEANSING!" he read aloud his voice showing his shock. After that sank in they turned to Emily who'd just begun to read.

Dear Ms. Emily M. Charles,

The Ministry and St. Mungo's Hospital are recognizing you for your work and in the healing field during the war. We are asking that you lend your services yet again to us in a new position. In order to fulfill living condition requirements in our newly constructed prison we regret that medical personnel be on site to appease opponents to our program.

We are seeking willing witches and wizards to take up these posts. You would not have to interact with the inmates on a regular basis, but would attend to needs as they arose. You will be informed on further details of the position as they become available when we receive your affirmation that you are interested in the position.

Thank you for your consideration,

Marcia Underwood,

Personal Secretary to the Deputy Minister of Cleansing

Emily was thoroughly surprised because she had not been expecting this sort of thin to happen. She looked up to see the equally surprised expressions on all her friend's faces. The question was should she take the position or not?

Aziza's face was shining with sudden realization and they all knew she'd gotten an idea, "That's great! Do you realize that you'll be able to check on Remus and Draco whenever you want to? We might be able to help them somehow."

"What do you all think about the job I was offered?" Harry asked looking at them curiously, "Do you think their going to expand this Magical Cleansing Act or something?"

"It certainly sounds like that. What dose your letter say, Amber?" Hermione said turning to her. She handed it to her and she read it quickly, "So, they're still offering you the International Magical Cooperation Department Headship? Well, I think you should take it. I mean, you'll have all kinds' opportunities, and you'll be in a negotiating position. You can force them to let you see them."

"I suppose that's what I'll do," Amber concluded and she smiled, "I think I'll go right now." She held out her hand as her phoenix appeared hovering there. She then nodded to her friends and vanished.

"Sometimes I wish I had a phoenix," Harry said wistfully as they left for the snow covered grounds. The five friends headed to the Headmaster's office to inform him on this new development. Harry was deep in thought wondering what part the Ministry wanted him to play. What could they possibly want me to do? Could they want me to make arrests or something! Oh, I hope not!
