"Gimmie the controller you little grass stain!"

"It's my turn! You had the last one!" Raven glanced up from her book.

"Idiots…" She muttered, rolling her eyes as the boys continued to fight without noticing her. She looked around, then, remembering Robin and Star had gone shopping, let her eyes rest upon a certain green titan. A small smile tugged at her lips. The two boys before her jumped as the telephone blew up, snapping Raven from her trance. She pulled her hood up, standing quickly. Cyborg and Beast Boy stared at her.

"I need to meditate…" She muttered as she rushed from the room and hastily rushed up to the roof. Taking a deep breath, she levitated herself into her meditating position, closed her eyes and started to chant quietly to herself.

"Azarath metrion zinthos. Azarath metrion zinthos." 'How could this happen?' She'd worked on this for years. She'd spent countless hours everyday building that wall around herself, locking away her emotions, but somehow he'd slipped past her defenses with ease. She never saw it coming. 'How? How did he do it?'

"Azarath metrion zinthos. Azarath metrion zinthos." 'I doubt he ever knows he did it,' She told herself bitterly. Why would he want to love her? She was 'unfeeling' and 'creepy'. Beast Boy would want someone to laugh at his jokes and play video games with. Not someone like her.

Something behind her exploded, and she took a deep breath, calming herself. Feeling something brush her cheek, she moved her hand up to wipe it away. Raven opened her eyes in shock. It was a tear. One lone tear running down her cheek. She wiped it away quickly. 'You're 'unfeeling', remember? You don't cry.'

"Raven?" Startled, Raven fell to the ground, her concentration lost. She glared at Beast Boy as he rushed over to help her up. "You ok?" She pulled away from him, standing on her own, and pulling her hood back up.

"I'm fine. What do you want?"

"I just wanted to make sure everything was ok. I mean you left the living room so fast… you even left your book." He held it out to her. She snatched it out of his hands quickly, as if he would pull it away. He looked at her, confused.

"I told you I'm fine." She turned away.

"If you want to talk about something-"

"No!" A light bulb shattered. "I've got to meditate." She walked past him, her eyes on the ground. He grabbed her arm.

"Raven, you don't have to lock yourself in your room all the time. Let me help you." She rounded on him.

"Why? Why do you care?" She glared at him, expecting him to back off, or back away. On the contrary, he looked into her eyes, smiling.

"Because I love you." Beast Boy suddenly pulled her to him, hugging her. She pulled away, trying to get a hold of her emotions, which were threatening to run wild. She couldn't be in love! Not with her powers. She had to stop this.

"No! I'm not loveable! Hell, I'm not even likeable! I'm dark and cold and creepy and unfeeling! Why?" To her surprise, he smiled again.

"Raven, your smart, your strong, your beautiful, your witty, your tough… and I just couldn't help falling in love with you." She stared at him, shocked.

"I…" She was at a loss for words.

"I understand. You need time. You need to think about this. But I can wait." He kissed her forehead, then headed for the door.

"Beast Boy!" He turned to look at her. "Thank you." He smiled as she walked to him. "And I think…I think I love you too." Beast Boy kissed her softly. She closed her eyes, kissing him back. He looked into her eyes as they broke apart.

"Nothing blew. That must be a good sign." She smiled.

"It's a start."
