Only Time Will Tell

1. Moving In Part One. . .

Katie Walker raced into the main building of Time Force academy to find out her roommate. She ran up to the bulletin board and ran her finger down the list.

"Lucas Kendall," the thirteen year old yellow clad girl whispered. "That doesn't sound like a girl."

"It isn't," said a male voice behind her. She turned around to see a very hansom boy about her age. "Lucas."

"Katie," Katie said. "You wanna head to our room, Lucas."

"Sure," he shrugged. The two headed up the stairs to their room. They started for their room.

"TRIP!" they heard a female voice scream from next door.

"Sorry, Jennifer," they heard a small, apologetic voice say.

Katie looked at Lucas.

"I don't wanna know," Lucas said, walking into their room. Katie followed closely, afraid of this Jennifer that lived next door to. He sat on a bed and she sat on the one next to the one by his.

"So," Katie said.

"So," Lucas said.

"Why do you think they paired us together?" she asked.

"Misprint?" he shrugged. The African-American girl opened her suitcase and started to unpack. The Pilipino boy did as she did. He looked over at her and saw her hug a picture frame and then touch a locket around her neck, tear escaping her glassy brown eyes. "What's wrong?"

"My bisha died last week. I she's the reason I'm here. My bisha and bisho were the first rangers at the Time Force, except it was called SPD," Katie explained, wiping her tears away.

"I'm so sorry," Lucas apologized.

"Don't say that. She had cancer, it's not really anyone's fault," she said, pulling her curls behind her ear. He sat next to her and hugged her. She brust out in tears.

"I'm so sorry, Katie," Lucas said again, "So sorry." She held onto him, letting it all out.
