Leaving Rivendell.

I see two men. One trying desperately to be something he's not, the other trying desperately to not be what he is. A wizard who is an enigma to all, and will likely remain as such. An elf and a dwarf, enemies by nature, companions by force; neither seeing the great need for fellowship. And the hobbits… what could be said of these most simple of creatures. Children of men in both appearance and mind.

You must forgive me if my assessments seem less than complimentary, or even unkind. That is simply the truth as I see it.
