Let Me in
Your mind is like a locked door;
Mysterious, unknown, and strange.
Turn the key to let me in,
And we can explore it together.
Your thoughts are like a stormy sea;
Pulling, breaking, incessant, and strong.
Calm your waters to let me in,
And we can swim in them together.
Your soul is like a blackbird's wings;
Dark, feeble, light, and withdrawn.
Lift up your feathers to let me in,
And we can fly in it together.
Your heart is like the one within me;
Broken, scarred, alone, and sad.
Open your heart to let mine in,
And allow them to be together.
