A/N: Just a little something I wrote on a rainy night….. Oh and when Tifa says 'My only real friends' she means back when she lived in Nibelhiem before Sephiroth destroyed it.

I have been lost in my life

And I mean over and over again

But there was something inside me

That felt so right

You and music were my only friends

I ran my fingers over the smooth, cold keys of the piano, in front of which I sat. I closed my eyes. 'My only real friends, anyway.'

You were always there along the way

With every breath and every step I take

After Meteor, I finally mustered up enough courage and audacity to tell Cloud. I told him everything, every detail, and every word that entered my mind.

……..I love you Cloud. I have loved you for so long. I love you, with every fiber of my being, more than any word can begin to describe.

I then began to cry silently. I was positive Cloud still loved Aerith. I knew his heart was hers and I could never compete. But I just had to tell him, I couldn't keep it inside any longer for fear my heart would burst. To my surprise, he warmly reached up and wiped the tears from my eyes with his hand. He smiled sadly, almost sympathetically and engulfed me in an affectionate hug.

"Tifa…..." he whispered, "I want you to know…….. I consider you more than a good friend…but…,"

My heart sank slightly. 'But?'

"I can never forget Aerith."

"I know Cloud, I understand." I replied breathlessly.

"But Tifa…"

My stomach fluttered pleasantly when he said my name.

"I think… I think I love you too. I think that we can be," he said gently in my ear as he took my hand,"….together."

"You think?" I asked. "Or you know?"

"I know," he said firmly, looking into my eyes, and yet tenderly at the same time. His eyes were the purest azure, his Mako eyes. He then kissed me compassionately.

You are the voice inside me

After all our goodbyes to our fellow AVALANCHE members, Cloud and I moved back to Nibelhiem, into my old house. After five phenomenal months of living together, Cloud proposed to me. The ring was stunning, absolutely breathtaking. It was a diamond ring with two little sapphires on either side of the diamond with a platinum band. The sapphires reminded me of his beautiful eyes.

I can't imagine living in a world without you here

Do you know what that makes me, baby?

Like an animal running from the scent of fear

Call me paranoid, but I'm not crazy

"Oh….Cloud…." was all I could manage at the sight of him, with the ring, kneeling before me.

"Tifa, will you marry me?"

I began to cry sweet tears of bliss.

"Yes! Oh, Gods, yes!"

I threw my arms around him.
