Chapter 1: Nothingness
The cold impartial eyes of the once great priestess watched down her former home from fifty years
before. Her expression remained cold and indifferent as she turned away, but down below her
former lover turned quickly from entering her younger sisters hut to see her to disappear just from
view.
"Kikyo." He said to himself with a slightly annoyed , placing his hand the hilt of the Tetsusaiga and
ran towards the cliff face. He lept up to Kikyo's former look out and called out. "Kikyo! Show
yourself!"
The cold faced woman slid out of the brush, silent, with a bow and arrow drawn.
"Inu Yasha, you are going to hell with me now." She said letting an arrow fly, it glowing purple
brightly. Inu Yasha's eyes widened and drew the Tetsusaiga, blocking the arrow.
"Feh. You are more stupid than Kagome, this old trick again. He lept behind Kikyo, his voice and
expression became softer as he sheathed his sword and took hold of her arms .
" Kikyo… I wish….I wish I could have saved you, but I failed. I allowed you to destroy the both of
us and our future." His voice tightened, "But I couldn't protect you, and as I have tried to explain to
you … I am going to defeat Naraku, avenge your death," He paused, " and send you back to the
after life where you should have stayed!" Pushing her forward. She turned to face him, but missed
her step and fell back onto the ground.
"Inu Yasha.." Her voice cracked slightly, holding her arms above her head preparing for the blow
by the Tetsusaiga, and then she awakened.
Kikyo sat up with a jolt from sleeping one of the very rare times she did so. The dream she had was
one that replayed all times she allowed herself to fall into any sort of sleep, except this dream did not
end as usual. Usually it would end with Inu Yasha calling her an empty bitch and telling her she was
now nothing but an empty shell, but this time Inu Yasha was to actually going to send her back to
hell- a once empty promise. This dream was meant to tell her something- Inu Yasha is falling in love
with Kagome and if she was to attack her reincarnate again he would protect her…kill for her.. "I
guess I am really that empty…" she said looking at her pale clay flesh hands which became clutched
fists. Her cold empty voice caught Sesshoumaru's ears, he listened indifferently but something
peeked his interest. "…She has stolen everything from me..my soul, my life, my family, and….my
Inu Yasha. She needs to pay...no she needs to die."
"Hmn…interesting." Sesshoumaru said as Kikyo's voice trailed off. " I think I shall pay my little
brother a visit come day light."
